International Steering Committee for Global Mapping(ISCGM)

International Steering Committee for Global Mapping (ISCGM) is a committee to implement the development of “Global Mapping Project,” an endeavor to develop geographic information (Global Map) that covers the whole land area of the globe with consistent specifications under the cooperation of National Mapping Organizations of the world. GSI contributes to the promotion of the project as the secretariat of ISCGM.

Regional Committee of United Nations Global Geospatial Information Management for Asia and the Pacific (UN-GGIM-AP)

UN-GGIM-AP was established on 1 November 2012 on the basis of the Permanent Committee on GIS Infrastructure for Asia and the Pacific (PCGIAP), in accordance with the Resolution adopted at the Nineteenth United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for Asia and the Pacific(UNRCC-AP).
The committee inherits exactly the same membership and missions as those of PCGIAP while strengthening PCGIAP efforts by aligning the unique needs and interests of Asia and the Pacific with United Nations initiative on Global Geospatial Information Management(UN-GGIM).
UN-GGIM-AP plays the essential role in addressing key issues in geospatial information management and provides consultation mechanisms among the Member States and international organizations. GSI serves as President from 2015.
