1:50,000 Scale Composite map "NARA"

Heijo-kyo (Nara City) was founded in 710 as the capital of Japan.
Therefore, there are a lot of historic architectures even now, Nara was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The year 2010 is the historical year because 1300 years has passed since the capital was moved to Heijo-kyo (Nara City). The various events are held in Nara Prefecture to commemorate the 1300th anniversary.
To promote "Visit Japan Campaign" by the Government of Japan in the field of mapping, GSI prepared a 1:50,000 Scale Composite Map "NARA" in cooperation with Nara Prefecture and other agencies promoting commemorative events. This map is useful for various subjects, including cultural studies, education and tourism, and it is also valuable as a historical document.
