What is the " Land Condition Map of Volcano "?

Since 1988, the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI of Japan) has been releasing "Land Condition Map of Volcano (LCMV)" at scales of 1:10,000 to 1:50,000. These maps classify the geomorphology of volcanoes based on land surface morphology and formation age. LCMV is intended to be utilized as basic data for volcanic disaster prevention planning, as well as for various surveys, research, and education.
