Information of The Science Museum of Map and Survey
The Science Museum of Map and Survey is the first exhibition facility dedicatedto map and survey in Japan. The principles, the history, new technology of map and survey and the relationship between our life and map and surveyare presented, all of which are intended to bring maps and surveys closer to people.
This museum also offers various information services of the control pointsdata, the aerial photographes and map series, etc.
The total number of visitors since its inauguration of June 1996 reached 200,000 in November 2003.

Museum Hours
Open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Mondays (in case a National Holidays on Monday, in which case the museum is open on the holiday and closed the following Tuesday instead), and December 28 - January 3.
Information Service Hall
Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except National Holidays and December 29 - January 3.
